Canadian at Morant's Curve

The Canadian eastbound at Morant's Curve near Lake Louise in the Canadian Rockies. The Canadian was introduced by the Canadian Pacific Railroad in 1955 using stainless steel cars built by Budd. The action red paint sceme was introduced in the early 70s. The Canadian no longer uses this line and now runs upon Candian National track further to the north. The name Morant's Curve comes from Nicholas Morant, a photographer for the CPR, who took a large number of memorable photos at this location.
